At just 15 km from Lausanne, Morges, your destination for the day is one of the prettiest lake front towns. Famous for its lakeside promenade and is picturesque old town, with its quaint boutiques and art galleries, it is a great place to spend the night and enjoy Lake Geneva.

Just past Lausanne you will ride through the unique Lavaux wine region. Although there is some evidence that vines were grown in the area in Roman times, the actual vine terraces can be traced back to the 11th century and are so spectacular that they have been classified as a Unesco World Heritage site. The ride is not just about tasting the local Chasselas grape variety but also about enjoying the great views of the lake and the French Alps. Before leaving Lausanne, you have the option of visiting the recently refurbished and world famous Olympic Museum.
