Why is Bastia such a popular cycling destination ?
At the gateway to the Northern Cape of Corsica, Bastia is a perfect destination for a cycling holiday.
Bastia is easily accessible thanks to its airport, which is very well served from all over Europe and thanks to the regular ferry services from the mainland (France and Italy).
From Bastia, you can ride North to the Cape of Corsica and it’s amazing coastal roads, or you can head inland and immediately test your legs by climbing one of the local summits above the sea (Col de Teghime (536m) or Serra di Pinu (960m). From Bastia you can also head South and discover the tiny quiet roads in the Castagniccia region.
After your rides, you can enjoy Bastia with your family and friends. The town center is picturesque, with a lot of typical restaurants and places to chill. The Bastia region is also perfect for beach lovers and for hiking enthusiasts.
