The Microtex upper is supple but strong and stable, providing a comfortable and consistent fit. Combined with Fizik’s advanced customization capabilities, this shoe delivers the precise, secure feel that racers demand. A special part of the shoe’s upper wraps the arch of the foot and can be precisely adjusted for a perfect fit and improved support of the plantar fascia using the latest Li2 BOA® platform. The volume of the forefoot area can be controlled via the Infinito, a signature feature of the fit configuration. The Infinito balances tension and eliminates pressure points through the use of BOA® textile laces. This fit system works over a larger area of the upper of the shoe, pulling the eyelets inwards evenly from all directions to ensure a supportive and comfortable fit. The Volume Control System allows for differentiated adjustment of the fit for the instep and forefoot area, the shape and volume of which can vary greatly from rider to rider. With the latest Li2 BOA® Fit System platform with a smaller diameter and lower, more aerodynamic profile, cyclists can tailor the fit to their individual foot shape, ensuring maximum performance without compromising on comfort. The updated Infinito also features an all-new outsole with an engineered carbon fiber layup that saves weight and provides increased stiffness. With a stiffness index of 10, this outsole is the stiffest in the Fizik range. A wide ventilation inlet and deep internal channels provide a cooling airflow that helps regulate temperature. The cleat positioning is set slightly further back compared to conventional settings to optimize pedaling efficiency and reduce knee stress, which is particularly suitable for very aggressive, forward-facing aero positions.
