From Lake Geneva across fabulous landscape along the banks of the Rhone to finish in Lyon, the city of lights. This relaxed itinerary will take you back to nature.
Day 1
Arrive in Geneva
Arrive at your hotel during the afternoon, take time to visit the historic town center, its famous shopping streets and of course the lake and its breathtaking fountain, the Jet d’Eau, which towers 120 m above the lake.

Day 2
Geneva - Seyssel
It is only a short ride out of the hustle and bustle of Geneva before you cycle in the beautiful surrounding countryside at the foot of pre-Alpine hills. Today’s stage will offer wonderful views of the majestic Rhone river and the local mountains. Your destination for the day is the small town of Seyssel on the banks.

Seyssel - Belley
On leaving Seyssel, you head for the charming village of Chanaz, nicknamed Savoie’s little Venice as it is set at the entrance of one of France’s most beautiful canals, the Savières. The day ends at the magical small medieval village of Belley, which dates back to Roman times.

Day 4
Along the Rhône
Today will allow you to discover the Bas Bugey region which runs along vineyards and the Jura mountains to the North. The Rhône, which meanders along the valley floor, will by at your side throughout the day.

Day 5
Morestrel - La Balme les Grottes
You will spend the day riding between lagoons, lakes, and marshlands before crossing the charming village of Saint-Sorlin-en-Bugey, nicknamed the village of roses, which nestled in between impressive cliffs and the river. Your day ends in the picturesque village of La Balme les Grottes with dates back to pre-historic times and is famous for its magnificent caves. It is one of the most remarkable natural sites of the country, revealing a set of stalactites, stalagmites, underground lakes and labyrinths.

Day 6
To Lyon the City of Lights!
For your final day, you will ride across the Grand Large and Miribel Jonage parks, which are large urban parks on the outskirts of Lyon.
You will arrive in Lyon through the Parc de la Tête d’Or along the Rhône and finish on Lyon’s peninsula, flanked on one side by the Rhône and on the other the Saône.
The evening will offer an opportunity to discover the City of Lights since once some 350 monuments and famous sites light up, following the Plan Lumière established almost 30 years ago and renewed in 2018 with the ambition to create a real ‘night landscape’.
