Day 1 Arrive in Avignon
Check into your hotel, ideally located in the centre of Avignon and just moments away from some of the city’s major sites. Take the time to explore this papal state by foot, visit the world famous eponymous bridge and immerse yourself in the town’s medieval history.

Day 2 Chateauneuf du Pape
For this first day of cycling, you will cross the Rhône valley into Villeneuve lez Avignon, a charming town with a rich history. You will then ride along the banks of the Rhône to reach the impressive and world renown vineyards of Chateauneuf du Pape, where you will spend the night. We can arrange wine tastings at a local vineyard (available from day 2 to 5).

Day 3 A History Lesson
Today will be a history lesson in the making as we head for Orange. You’ll get the chance to see Celtic fortifications and monuments dating back to the Roman Empire before we head for the remarkable medieval fortress, Suze la Rousse. Night in Suze la Rousse.

Day 4 Vineyards of the Côtes du Rhône
Did you know, Côte du Rhône is the second wine appellation in France? You will cycle past its small quaint towns surrounded by hectares of vineyards with grape varieties including Syrah and Grenache. You’ll spend the night in Vacqueyras.

Day 5 Dentelles of Montmirails
After enjoying the Côte du Rhône, you’ll head towards Provence’s highest peak, Le Mont Ventoux and explore the vineyards at its feet. Your home for the evening is the the village of Bédoin where the infamous Tour de France begins its ascent toward the summit.

Day 6 Luberon
On leaving Bédoin, you will climb Col de Murs and then free-wheel down to the Luberon regional park, designated a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO and truly worth exploring.

The last stage is spent in the heart of the Luberon where vineyards meet orchards, lavender fields and dry-stone houses.
