Our cycling tips in and around Aix en Provence

Where we love to ride, grab a coffee or have a glass of wine

Why has Aix en Provence become such a popular cycling destination ?

Of course the great weather helps a lot. Here the bike season is very long and you can usually ride all year round.

There is plenty of choice of rides around Aix to suite all abilities. Start with a 65 km loop to St Victoire and back. This is a scenic ride with some climbing but nothing especially hard.

For a bit more climbing head South East to Plan D’Aups into the the Sainte-Baume regional park. The loop to Plan d’Aups and back should give you some 1500 mts of climbing in 90km.

Of course Aix is synonymous with Cezanne who was mesmerised by Mont St Victoire to the East of Aix. This also makes for a leisurely and scenic route.

So there is plenty of great cycling to be had around Aix en Provence.
